Or will Rafa take a gamble and go 3-5-2?
It would have been good if Insua could play, but I don`t think he`s on the CL list.

i would live to see us try a 3-5-2. think we have enough quality all over the pitch to try new things and if we are to try new ideas we may aswell do it in that little cup competition rather than wasting any of the important league games

It doesn`t say what kind of injuries they have.
It also says that that Alonso is a doubt, so if none of them can play we`ll be limited in the defesive department.
So maybe all-out attack is the way to go, to push Porto back. It`s not very Rafa like though.

I don't think Rafa will play 352 for the mere fact that Babel and Pennant aren't wing backs. If you have seen the games where we do adopt this system, Finnan and Riise tend to move up and back and at times it becomes 532. For Babel and Pennant to have more defensive responsibilities, it would take a lot out of their game. I think Finnan is ok and if Riise and Arbeloa aren't then Aurelio is more than capable of coming in.

Im sure he played it once, away to Newcastle couple of seasons ago and we looked superb.
